The Amargosa Opera House & Hotel offers a unique charm like no other. I fell in love with the quirky decor throughout the property. The murals in my room created such a cozy atmosphere. The lobby, complete with a fireplace and library, felt inviting and perfect for relaxing after a day in Death Valley. The opera house tour was a highlight. it really brought the history alive. However, the plumbing issues were frustrating. The bathroom took a while to get warm water, which is not ideal. Some rooms seemed to have outdated air conditioning, making the summer heat difficult to manage. Despite these shortcomings, I appreciated the friendly staff. they were welcoming and eager to help whenever needed. The location is superb for those looking to explore Death Valley without staying in more cramped camping conditions. I enjoyed my time here, but I hope they invest in some necessary upgrades to enhance the experience.

The historical charm captivates, with quirky artwork throughout the property creating a unique atmosphere. Cozy lobby with a fireplace offers a comfortable spot to unwind after a day exploring the area.
The property shows signs of wear, with dusty corners and a few outdated facilities that could use some TLC. Some guests may notice faint unpleasant odors as well as limited water pressure in the shower—a personal preference that might not bother everyone, but it can detract from the experience.

I just spent 2 nights here, and it was honestly a unique adventure! I loved the historical charm and the quirky artwork all over the place. The cozy lobby was perfect for relaxing after exploring, and the opera house tour was a fascinating highlight. However, the hot water took way too long to kick in, which was a bit annoying.

The room had a lot of character but felt pretty dated. You could tell it was clean, though. Good air conditioning kept it cool, which was great. No real amenities, but the vibe was definitely interesting, kind of creepy actually. A bit worn down, but for the price near Death Valley, it's not a total loss for a night. Just grab your own snacks since dining options are limited.
